Pretty, Ugly: MOCA Teen Night 2018
Saturday, April 28, 7-10pm
MOCA Grand Ave
Teen Night is a free event created by teens for teens. This event is inspired by the exhibitions Real Worlds: Brassaï, Arbus, Goldin and Lauren Halsey: we still here, there. Real Worlds looks back on the honest and subversive narratives of three seminal photographers, while Halsey’s cavernous installation is an utopian celebration of her native South L.A. Teen Night expands on these ideas, showcasing narratives from teens across L.A. in the face of changing national and local landscapes. It will include live musical performances by Amindi K. Fro$t, ASIATICA, and STUNNAPOSSE, refreshments, creative activities and a student art exhibition curated by the MOCA Teens.
