Artists on Artists: Awol Erizku on Adrián Villar Rojas

Lecture

Los Angeles–based artist Awol Erizku skillfully blends pop-culture iconography, ancient Egyptian motifs, and 17th-century Old Master paintings in his vibrant photographs and mixed-media installations. For Artists on Artists, a series that builds upon MOCA’s tradition of examining artworks and exhibitions through the voice of the artist, Erizku will bring his keen eye to the spectacular realm of the exhibition Adrián Villar Rojas: The Theater of Disappearance.

Priority tickets are available to MOCA members one hour before the program. Fifteen minutes before the program begins tickets will be released to non-members. One ticket per person on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is recommended.
