DISSENT: TEEN NIGHT 2012
Saturday, February 11, 6:30–10pm
The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Inspired by MOCA’s exhibition Under the Big Black Sun, the aim of DISSENT: TEEN NIGHT 2012 is to inform the youth of Los Angeles of the political and social roles of artists during a time when there seemed to be no place for speaking up against the opinions of political and institutional authority. The event features live performances and visual art by local students, artmaking, and refreshments. Have fun, hang out, and learn something new. Teen Night is an event exclusively for students in high school, hosted by teens from the MOCA Apprenticeship Program (MAP). This year, attendees will receive a complimentary museum membership.
