Private Tours

Private, educator-led tours are a fun and exciting way to see the museum and to learn about our collections and current exhibitions. We are happy to customize tours to fit your interests.


  • $100 per educator, (one educator required per group of 25 or fewer); subject to availability
  • discounts available for non-profit and academic institutions
  • $7 per person reduced admission (waived for non-profit and academic institutions)
  • Additional charges apply for security & A/V during non-public hours

Free Public Tours (Exhibition Highlight Tours)

Professional gallery educators offer conversational tours of current exhibitions Thursday evenings and weekends at MOCA Grand Avenue and The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Tours begin in the lobby and last about 45 minutes; they are free with admission and no reservations are required for individuals. When not touring, educators are also available to answer questions and engage in discussions about works on view. Classes and groups should make reservations for a Group Tour as outlined below.

Tour schedule: 

Thursday evenings: 6pm and 7pm
Saturday and Sunday afternoons: 12pm and 2pm

FREE with museum admission

Exhibition Highlight Tours are generously supported by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission.
