Sunday Studio participants and the artist Alan Nakagawa created postcards inspired by the powerful stories of courage by Japanese American citizens during the Second World War, and the works by the Japanese artist On Kawara, and the Cuban artist Belkis Ayón, on view at the 40thanniversary exhibition The Foundation of the Museum: MOCA's Collection. This Sunday Studio event was developed in collaboration with the Go For Broke National Education Center. (www.goforbroke.org)

Participantes de Sunday Studio y el artista Alan Nakagawa crearon tarjetas postales inspirada en las poderosas historias de coraje de los ciudadanos japonés-americanos durante la segunda guerra mundial y en las obras del artista japonés On Kawara y de la artista cubana Belkis Ayón, expuestas en la exhibición por nuestro 40 aniversario The Foundation of the Museum: MOCA's Collection. Este taller de Sunday Studio fue desarrollado en colaboración con el Centro de Educación Nacional Go For Broke. (www.goforbroke.org)

For this Sunday Studio, join Self Help Graphics & Art’s Barrio Art Studio with Ariel Mar in creating prints about your own personal stories inspired by our 40th-anniversary exhibition, The Foundation of the Museum: MOCA's Collection. 

Self Help Graphics & Barrio Mobile Art Studio nurtures emerging artists and makes art accessible to the vast demographic that is Los Angeles, while also expanding their audiences and community beyond the East Los Angeles and Boyle Heights communities.

Sunday Studio is MOCA’s free, drop-in event featuring art experiences for makers of all ages and experience levels. Programs include family-friendly tours, art-making explorations, music, and a space with activities designed just for toddlers. Join the fun!

Self Help Graphics & Barrio Mobile Art Studio promueve a artistas emergentes y el acceso al arte a una gran población de Los Ángeles, mientras expande su público y comunidad más allá del este de Los Ángeles y la comunidad de Boyle Heights.

 Sunday Studio es el evento gratuito de MOCA que ofrece tours en el museo y actividades artísticas para creadores de todas las edades y niveles de experiencia, incluyendo niños pequeños. ¡Únete a la diversión!
